Crucifixion Day

Description

Oh man… I’m sure I’m gotta get even more enemies with this pic than I did with my “Holy Innocents” one ^-^;;;
Hee hee… well, what did you expect? Another song inspired pic, or wallpaper X3 this time from the song: Muhammad my friend.

The original lyrics go:
Muhammad my friend,
it's time to tell the world
we both know it was a girl back in Bethlehem.
And on that fateful day,
when she was crucified,
she wore shiseido red and we drank tea
by her side

so, Tori, Muhammad, Jesus and teh Dan needed to be there, drinking tea and having a good time… yeup, bizarre ^-^;;;

Now, I don’t want to sound insulting to Christians or anything (I’m serious!) but it’s kinda silly the way they handle the whole crucifixion day. Yes, Jesus was crucified, but it was nothing especial for the people of that time. People claiming to be the King of a lot of things came almost every week, and I know what movies like Mel Gibson’s or the leaders of the church make you think, but it’s very likely that nobody (outside of the city) noticed when Jesus was crucified.
I mean, have you ever heard that all the roads take you to Rome? Well, I just want to tell you that during those times, those roads were adorned with crosses, each cross carrying a body. Crucifixions were a daily stuff! I’m sure Jesus was number 18 or something that day, and that’s why he had to share his execution with other two. I can’t even start imagining what the empire would do to their soldiers if they “stay” to torture a single prisoner, much less laugh at him. I mean, this is the frigging Roman army! Discipline was like the morning breakfast “shakeshead”. Do you know how the disciplined them if they incurred in a flaw like that? They decimated the unit (each tenth soldier was to be murdered by his own unit, no matter if he was guilty or not), so doing something stupid like that was out of question.

Neway, here, Jesus is waiting with us for her turn (you can see her number hanging from the cross), she already carried the cross to her spot, already went through the whips and got her wrist perfored to allow easier access to the bolts that are gonna “attach” her to the cross, so now she’s just handing me a cookie while Tori and Muhammad discuss some private matter. All the while, we all enjoying of a delicious cup of tea X3

Yeh, I know, I have no idea if I got Muhammad right, and Tori looks darn young here, and Jesus looks a lot like my other Jesus o_o;; I’m just noticing that but I’m not changing it! XD

I think I’m starting to like this new cgi method, it’s fast and gets the results done really well ^^

All the characters belong to somebody? I dunno, Tori maybe belong to herself but the other two are popular property or something, and teh Dan is just teh Dan X)

Freedom of speech gives you the right to express constructive thoughts freely, without being offensive. Why couldn't we live in an "elevated" society where we can discuss our disagreements in a more "mature" way rather than using childish mockery??

I'd really like to ask those who draw such things, what are you aiming at??? I mean, Prophet Muhammad's character is well-known that even some non-muslims have praised him ... here are examples:

1. ". . . a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men." Volume 12, Encyclopedia Britannica

2. "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level." Michael H. Hart

3. "He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness." George Bernard Shaw

4. Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him". Diwan Chand Sharma

5. "He is a prophet and not a poet and therefore his Koran is to be seen as Divine Law and not as a book of a human being, made for education or entertainment." Wolfgang Goethe

So, what are you to those people ... nothing!! What dim-wit would simply believe what caricature artists say and leave what those great people had said??? Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not even slightly affected by the rubbish drawn about him, if these caricatures depict something .. that would be the own artist.
